Mohno Pumps (sometimes referred to as "Screw Pumps" or "Progressive Cavity Pumps") are excellent all-purpose pumps capable of transferring fluid, must or mash, and whole berries or grape clusters long distances.
The Zambelli PM single-screw pump is made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel. The loading hopper contains in in-feed auger that moves the fruit into the stator, where the a helical rotor in constant rotation conveys the material through mobile compartments, which are created by the movement, without centrifugating the product; leaving it unspoiled. The hopper is also outfitted with a level sensor which controls the pumps power supply to prevent it from dry-running.
